These students are the inaugural group of this program - in their second year - a freshman, four sophmores & a junior - all alumni of the Dominica School. They represent the future........

The program is named in memory of our founder, Daniel R. Leary, who passed from our presence but never from our hearts.....

The Dan Leary Memorial Fund for Continuing Education hopes to be a continuing and successful program for shaping the futures of recipient students and honors our founding director, Daniel R. Leary. We are assisting older students with continuing education - high school, trade school, & maybe university. For high school assistance, we have established for this 2011 - 2012 school year an annual cost of US$590 - this includes tuition costs, textbooks, school supplies and maybe transportation.

As Kids International, Inc. begins our fourth year of this project with financial assistance for six high school juniors, and three high school sophmores and with your assistance two NEW freshman, we are blessed by the fine young students taking advantage of the opportunity afforded them.

At the completion of the ending school year we review what grades the student has achieved, ask if they wish to continue in this program, evaluate what the real costs were, and do a projection for the upcoming school year. Then we present what the cost will be for sponsoring a continuing education student and ask for donations to cover those projected costs, & the projected annual 2011-2012 cost is US$590 per student. We try to have those funds in place by the beginning of the next school year.....
